When it comes to health fads endorsed by celebrities I tend to stay far away, but this new Kylie Jenner promoted celery juice cleanse grabbed my interest too much not to give it a try. I love green juices (especially those with a little kick!) and so drinking celery juice every morning was one health trend I was willing to try… but with a couple adjustments because let’s be real, drinking straight up celery juice with nothing else in it sounds like yak.
- 2 Bunches of Celery Stalk
- 3 Small Lemons or 1 and 1/2 Large
- 2 Large ‘Fingers’ of Ginger
- 1 Cup Of Water
- Optional: 1 Small Green Apple
- Optional: Cayenne Pepper
Step 1: Chop
Coarsely peel and chop ingredients, throwing out the leaves in the center of the celery bunches.
Step 2: Blend
Blend together celery, lemon, ginger, and the optional green apple (If you like your juice on the sweeter side) as thoroughly as possible before adding the cup of water and continuing to blend until smooth. Blenders with less horsepower may need more water to help it blend properly.
Step 3: Strain
Strain the juice from the pulp using cheesecloth or nut-milk bag into a pitcher.
Step 4: Pour and Enjoy!
Pour over ice, top with a sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper if you like an extra kick, and enjoy! This crisp, tart, and refreshing juice is the best way to wake up in the morning!
